Nassim Center Admin Assistant

BACKGROUND: 

The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization based in Beirut. CLDH was created in 2006 by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily), which has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human rights violations.  

CLDH monitors the human rights situation in Lebanon, fights enforced disappearance, impunity, arbitrary detention and racism and rehabilitates the victims of torture. CLDH regularly organizes press conferences, workshops and advocacy meetings on human rights issues in Lebanon and collects, records and documents human rights abuses in reports and press releases.  

CLDH team on the ground supports initiatives aimed at determining the fate of all missing persons in Lebanon.  

CLDH regularly follows up on numerous cases of arbitrary detention and torture in Lebanon in coordination with Lebanese and international organizations, and with the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention WGAD and the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture. 

CLDH currently has 4 offices: Dora, Baouchrieh, Beqaa and Tripoli. 

Since 2007, Nassim Center (Baouchrieh office),  provides rehabilitation services for victims of torture and families of the forcibly disappeared. Nassim’s holistic services are designed as per Istanbul Protocol. They include social, psychological, medical and legal interventions reaching over 100 survivors on a yearly basis.

The Nassim Center Admin Assistant main duties include but are not limited to:

-Scheduling appointments for beneficiaries with CLDH General Practitioners and/or Physiotherapists.

- Coordinating between CLDH team members and beneficiaries (Social Workers and Psychologists).

- Communicating with Pharmacies (upon the need).

- Organizing files for beneficiaries and maintaining a filing system.

- Writing and sharing minutes of meetings.

- Following the financial process of filling all necessary forms and documentations regarding logistics requests or requests regarding Nassim Center.

- Following up with the team members about appointments and other needs.

- Acting as the focal points with HR and Finance Departments.

 

Qualifications and Education: 

●Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

●Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English and Arabic. French is a plus.

Location: 

The Nassim Center Admin Assistant will be based in CLDH Baouchrieh Office with regular visits to CLDH Dora Office.
