Cesvi Lebanon is looking for 4 Site Supervisor in 3 different locations: 2 Site Supervisors in Qab Elias, 1 Site Supervisor in Barja and 1 Site Supervisor in Sibline, for the implementation of the Cash for Work (CfW) project under “LA Bukra Ahla: resilience and social cohesion through temporary employment opportunities for Lebanese and Syrian refugees in Central Bekaa and Mount Lebanon” (hereinafter referred to as CfW). S/he will be responsible for assisting the preparation, coordination, smooth implementation of program and operations activities under the CfW. The Site Supervisor provides specific support to the Field Coordinator and serves as focal point for the workers and the municipality involved in the project.
Each site supervisor will work in only one of the three field locations (Qab elias, Barja or Sibline)
In particular, the Site Supervisor, under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, will:
- Work with the Mission Staff (both local and international) in order to adhere to logistics, human resource, administration, and security procedures
- Be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the project’s activities, following-up them constantly, on daily basis
The site supervisor is expected to work on the field 5 days per week, 6 hours per day. S/he is expected to provide any mean of transportation to ensure movements in the area of implementation.
For this position, Cesvi will offer a consultancy contract, inclusive of transportation and communication costs.
OBJECTIVES
- 1. Coordination and monitoring of CfW activities
- 2. Reporting constantly on project activities to the Field Coordinator
ACTIVITIES
- 1. Provide weekly work plans, realized together with the one of the three Municipalities (Qab Elias, Barja or Sibline) based on the selected site supervisor per location.
- 2.1 Assist the Field Coordinator (FC) in the daily follow up of projects activities on the field, track the progress of activities and provide timely feedback;
- 2.2 Conduct induction to workers on weekly basis;
- 2.3 Create a constant relationship with the group’s team leaders through WhatsApp groups and others communication means;
- 2.4 Daily collection of attendance sheets, at the end of the 6 hours of work, making sure that the workers completed their tasks
- 2.5 Daily follow up of the tools and material in the site and warehouse
- 2.6 Follow up and ensure that workers are following safety rules and Covid-19 measures
- 3.1 Provide weekly reports with justification of not-achieved tasks using the templates provided;
- 3.2 Provide to the FC designs, data and documents of the activities completed, showing through pictures how the work impacted the street/area of intervention

New activities and tasks that may be necessary or useful for the proper and timely implementation of the projects may be defined jointly by Cesvi, the Field Coordinator and the CfW Project Manager.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor Degree in civil/agricultural engineering or previous relevant working experience with civil/agricultural activities
- Previous experience (1 to 2 years) in a similar position in the NGO sector AND/OR previous relevant work experience (1 to 2 years) in private/public sector
- Previous experience in CfW interventions will be considered as an asset
- Very good knowledge of the project context (Central Beqaa/Chouf)
- Prior experience in liaising with local authorities will be considered and asset
- Proven Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, ppt
- Attention to details
- Fluent in Arabic, fluent in English will be considered an asset
- Very flexible and with a positive attitude
- Good team player and proactive attitude in problem solving
- Honest, trustworthy, and respectful
- With cultural awareness and sensitivity towards the needs of vulnerable populations
- Able to work independently under tight deadlines
- Able to observe deadlines and achieve results
- VALID DRIVING LICENSE
