Cesvi is seeking to recruit a full-time Data Analyst to support the MEAL coordinator and the PM with data collection, data storage, data cleaning, analysis and drafting reports ensuring data is managed effectively, timely and accurately. S/He will also support in developing and/or strengthening systems, practices and tools that contribute to sound project result-oriented management and the fulfilment of accountability standards.
The Collaborator will work under the supervision of the MEAL Coordinator in coordination with program staff.
Main responsibilities: The Data Analyst will be responsible for:
- Supporting the effective implementation of MEAL plan and data management
- Supporting in ensuring a sound data collection system
- Supporting in analysis and reporting on data collected
- Ensuring accountability towards stakeholders
Main tasks:
- Support the MEAL coordinator in the implementation of project’s MEAL plan including measurement methodologies and tools (FGDs, KIIs, sampling, …);
- Support in developing and testing MEAL tools and databases (Excel, Kobo forms, report templates, …), in uploading forms on online platforms (kobo/ODK, ...) and sharing them with staff;
- Support in introducing MEAL tools to staff, providing guidance on requirements and technically supporting them with when required;
- Support in updating the Indicator Tracking Table on a timely basis;
- Propose adjustments or new activities to improve the quality of operations or approaches used by the teams, in consultation with the MEAL Coordinator;
- Ensure that data is received on a timely basis from partners and staff, clean data and detect all anomalies and report them to the MEAL Coordinator, store it correctly and ensure it is updated accurately and timely;
- Support in the training of volunteers, data collectors and staff on using the data collection tools and, in the implementation, including assisting them with data entries and reporting when required;
- Support in the outreach and selection of samples to be interviewed and in conducting quantitative and qualitative data collection when needed (FGDs, KIIs, …) in the field or remotely;
- Support in the collection of positive impact stories and photos from projects and prepare them to be used for shared learning;
- Liaise with Barja, Sibline and Qab Elias SDCs/Local Authorities for the purpose of conducting the selection of CfW beneficiaries, in particular support MOSA social workers in filling out the assessment form and doing the data entry if needed;
- Conduct field visits to monitor the implementation of the activities and ensure cohesion of data collected on field. Provide feedback and written briefs to MEAL Coordinator;
- Support in providing quantitative and qualitative updates, in analysis of data and in creating visual representations;
- Assist the MEAL Coordinator in the preparation, revision and analysis of data and in drafting M&E reports related to field activities, donor reports and other ad hoc reports by producing reliable quantitative and qualitative updates timely and accurate reporting;
- Support MEAL coordinator and Project Managers on updating internal and external monitoring tools (ex. Project Management Framework, Activity Info, Referral Information Management System, …);
- Support the MEAL coordinator in the set-up of project CFM;
- Ensure the proper functioning of the monitoring and follow-up on beneficiaries’ feedbacks and complaints;
- Support in CFM database filling;
- Support in conducting periodic analysis of the system in place;
- Introduce/train project staff and/or project partners on the project CFM;
- Contribute to the creation of a positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the Code of Conduct, ethics, values, and standpoint with regards to internal and external actors.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
• University degree in statistics, economics, or mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience in the use of statistics packages, and in calculations for the analysis of extensive sets of data;
• At least two years’ experience of relevant work experience (MEAL, Reporting, Information Management, …)
• Strong analytical skills and abilities to collect, organize, analyse and share significative quantity of data/information with accuracy and preciseness, maintaining a detail-oriented attitude;
• Previous experience in designing and utilizing data collection tools (e.g. ODK, KoBo).
• Excellent command of Arabic and English, spoken and written;
• Demonstrated analytical and report-writing ability;
• Ability to translate narratives into matrices;
• Knowledge of Sphere Standards and Core Humanitarian Standards;
• Good capacities in data visualization;

• Ability to work in a team;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Computer literate (excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word).
DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES
– Prior experience in Livelihood and Education sectors;
– Experience with online systems;
–Certification in M&E or related fields.
- Previous experience in the analysis of GIS data and/or economic analysis.
