Director Of Business Promotion

Chemonics seeks a Director of Business Promotion for the anticipated USAID Lebanon Enterprise Development (LED) project. LED aims to increase employment opportunities for Lebanese citizens by facilitating the provision of business development services to help Lebanese firms expand, increase sales, and generate jobs. The project will increase the competitiveness and enhance the growth of Lebanese client firms, improve Lebanon's business enabling environment, and communicate results and program knowledge through outreach with the public and private sectors. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to: Lead all aspects of contract performance related to delivering support to enterprises and other entities Manage and insure quality relationships with client (firms, business associations, etc.) Guide the business promotion officers towards achieving project results Strengthening or establishing new institutions and structure for economic growth Apply qualitative analysis to analyze the business enabling environment in Lebanon for small and medium sized enterprises, and identify opportunities and solutions for improvements Perform all other relevant duties that may be needed to insure the overall efficient implementation of the projects activities Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in management, business or other relevant field. Graduate degree in relevant field preferred Minimum 5 years of recent work experience (within the last ten years) related to private business, including engagement in, or facilitation of business transactions or business consultancy Relevant experience in the domestic or international private sector in the role of managing, developing, and deploying innovations and efficiencies in businesses with demonstrated results in helping firms expand Minimum 1 years of management experience and demonstrated ability to cohesively bring staff together Outstanding management skills (including ethical management), resourcefulness, flexibility and creative problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal, managerial and communication skills Interest in working with a multicultural, international team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment Excellent Arabic skills and ability to communicate in English
