Outreach Workers (National Staff Only)

CISP is seeking dedicated Outreach Workers for a project focused on supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) in North Lebanon, Beirut, and Mount Lebanon. The role involves conducting needs assessments, data entry, and assisting with distributions as part of our Emergency Response efforts. The project aims to rehabilitate WASH and shelter facilities and distribute hygiene kits and non-food items to affected communities.

Contract: Daily basis
Duration: 4 months
Location: Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Tripoli

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to inform IDPs about available services and resources.
  • Assess the needs of individuals and communities.
  • Accurately input data into the CISP data management system.
  • Assist with data cleaning, verification, and organization of electronic records related to emergency activities.
  • Collaborate with local organizations and volunteers to ensure a coordinated response.
  • Provide feedback and detailed reports on interventions and participant engagement.
  • Support the distribution of hygiene kits and non-food items.
  • Participate in training and capacity-building workshops when required.
  • Identify and refer cases or irregularities as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.

Key Working Relationships:

You will work closely with the Field Officers and Project Coordinator, both in the field and at the office, to ensure smooth project implementation. Interactions with local community members and institutions should always be respectful of local customs and aim to effectively achieve the project’s goals.

Job Requirements:

  • Background in psychology, social work, counseling, or related fields (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Less than 1 year of experience in similar roles.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the operational areas (Beirut, Mount Lebanon, Tripoli).
  • Ability to handle and read maps effectively.
  • Proficiency in using IT devices, such as tablets and GPS devices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members and beneficiaries.
  • Ability to manage high-stress situations and handle sensitive cases with empathy.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Highly organized, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
  • Valid driving license.
