Protection Facilitator

Job Summary:

The Protection Facilitator, with the guidance of Protection Field Officer, will implement protection program activities in Akkar and Northern Governorates of Lebanon.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Program Implementation

• Conduct outreach for project participants based on the project design
• Implement Life Skills Training under the supervision of the Protection Officer
• Conduct PSS activities for men, women and children
• Ensuring that referral pathways are functional based on the norms of ethic and confidentiality.
• Identify cases to be referred using the Inter-Agency Referral Form
• Ensure proper registration and distribution.

2. Reporting and Information Gathering

• Collect  data of the implemented activities;
• Provide necessary data and information to Protection Field Officer for reporting.

3. Work Ethic
   • Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct
   • Support the promotion of the standards outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct to the team and to the beneficiaries, and be committed to providing a safe working environment
   • Contribute to the establishment of preventive measures to reduce the potential for abuse in Concern programme (as per P4 section 6)
   • Support Concern’s work in Lebanon by undertaking other tasks as appropriate and require

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of protection principles in humanitarian aid
• Knowledge of concepts of SGBV and CP
• Good experience in protection &  PSS
• Ability to provide simple PSS activities
• good communication skills, including training and facilitation
• good information technology skills
• Diplomacy, assertiveness and cultural sensitiveness
