Protection & PSS Volunteer

Job Summary:

The Protection Volunteer, with the guidance of Protection Field Officer and Protection Project Manager, will implement protection program activities in Akkar and Northern Governorates of Lebanon.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Program Implementation

• Assist Protection Field Officer to implement Life Skills Training
• Conduct PSS activities for men, women and children with the support of the Officer in charge
• Ensuring that referral pathways are functional based on the norms of ethic and confidentiality.
• Identify cases to be referred using the Inter-Agency Referral Form
• Ensure proper registration and distribution.

2. Reporting and Information Gathering

• Collect  data of the implemented activities;
• Provide necessary data and information to Protection Field Officer for reporting.

3. Work Ethic
   • Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct
   • Support the promotion of the standards outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct to the team and to the beneficiaries, and be committed to providing a safe working environment
   • Contribute to the establishment of preventive measures to reduce the potential for abuse in Concern programme (as per P4 section 6)
   • Support Concern’s work in Lebanon by undertaking other tasks as appropriate and require

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of protection principles in humanitarian aid
• Knowledge of concepts of SGBV and CP
• Good experience in protection &  PSS
• Ability to provide simple PSS activities
• good communication skills, including training and facilitation
• good information technology skills
• Diplomacy, assertiveness and cultural sensitiveness
