Distribution Team Leader

Field-based (North, Beirut, Bekaa)
Duration:
4 months
Salary:
2,000 EUR/month (gross)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and supervision of all distribution activities in line with project timelines and SOPs
- Coordinate closely with logistics, procurement, and program teams to ensure availability of items and smooth delivery processes
- Supervise field teams, including Community Mobilizers, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance oversight
- Ensure proper beneficiary verification, crowd control, and adherence to dignity and protection standards during distributions
- Oversee preparation of distribution sites, ensuring accessibility, safety, and efficiency
- Ensure accurate documentation of distributions, including beneficiary lists, delivery notes, and stock reconciliation
- Identify operational challenges and propose corrective actions in real-time
- Liaise with local authorities, shelter management, and partners to facilitate coordination and avoid duplication
Deliverables:
- Detailed distribution plans and schedules
- Completed distribution reports per activity/location
- Signed and verified beneficiary lists and delivery documentation
- Stock tracking and reconciliation reports
- Field supervision and monitoring reports
- Incident reports and corrective action documentation
KPIs:
- ≥95% of distributions completed as per planned schedule
- ≥98% accuracy in distribution documentation and stock reconciliation
- # of discrepancies identified and resolved within defined timeframe
- Beneficiary satisfaction rate (based on PDM results) ≥85%
- Compliance rate with distribution SOPs and protection standards
- Timely submission of reports (100% compliance)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or another relevant field, or equivalent professional experience in humanitarian operations, distributions, or field coordination.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian assistance, with proven involvement in planning and implementing distribution activities.
- Previous experience in supervising field teams and managing day-to-day operational activities in emergencies or complex settings.
- Strong understanding of distribution processes, including beneficiary verification, crowd control, and documentation requirements.
- Experience in coordinating with logistics, procurement, and program teams to ensure smooth implementation of activities.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills, with attention to detail in documentation and tracking.
- Fluency in Arabic and good command of English required.
