Main areas of responsibility (in coordination with COOPI Project Manager):
- Supporting COOPI in the achievement of the Expected Results of AICS Education project in Tripoli and Jurd el-Kaytee, Akkar;
- Contact to and co-operation with relevant local authorities and project partners;
Specific duties:
She/He will
- Actively participate in all phases of the elaboration of the activities together with COOPI staff.
- Liaise with local authorities, partners, community and COOPI involved staff to guarantee the smooth operation of the activities
- Conduct frequent field visits to all project sites to ensure that community is involved and follow up on partners
- Assist partners in the organization and implementation of education activities
- Assist in the organization and participate in all partners meetings and Working Group meetings
- Inform the community on the projects objectives, scope, strategy, and expected results, as well as following up on the Feedback and Complaint Mechanism established.
- Work directly in the field with children, families, teachers and other stakeholders of the activity locations.
- Ensure that data is accurately collected on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Attend meetings with the Project Manager and the whole COOPI staff.
- Capture success stories and lessons learned in each phase of program implementation.
- Follow up on all logistics needed for the identified tasks.
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the Project Manager
- Ensure that any matter that requires attention is reported for direct action
Qualifications and skills:
At least three years of experience in community mobilization, education and child protection activities
Demonstrated ability to represent the organization at field level.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
Good computer skills.
Valid Driving License and ability to drive
Time flexibility.
Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage. Sound knowledge of COOPI mission, aprroach and operation is considered an asset
Knowledge of the intervention area is highly desirable
Personal qualities:
Ability to work both independently and to deal with heavy work pressure
Willingness to spend the majority of the working time in the project intervention area, Tripoli and Akkar.
Excellent communications skills
Strong team spirit, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment
Excellent analytical skills, observation and analysis capacity
Ability to plan ahead and output oriented (pro-active)
Able to ensure quick quality delivery in stressful environment (stress-resilient)
