Project Manager (ILO)

*This position is based on funding.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

• Lead overall project planning, implementation, and monitoring in line with the approved proposal, work plan, and budget.
• Serve as the primary focal point with ILO, MoSA, and Social Development Centers (SDCs).
• Ensure compliance with ILO contractual obligations, reporting requirements, and timelines.

Technical Oversight

• Oversee implementation of ALMM components including enterprise engagement, beneficiary profiling, training, placement, and follow-up.
• Ensure quality and consistency across the three target areas.
• Validate beneficiary selection, enterprise participation, and placement agreements.

Team Management

• Supervise project staff including Employment Officers, Enterprise Specialist, and Trainers.
• Facilitate regular coordination meetings and ensure clear task allocation.
• Support staff capacity building and performance monitoring.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

• Ensure sound budget management in coordination with Finance/Admin staff.
• Validate expenditures, wage subsidies, and enterprise support costs.
• Contribute to financial reporting and audits as required.

Monitoring, Reporting & Capitalization

• Lead preparation of narrative reports and inputs to financial reports.
• Oversee data collection and ensure MEAL systems are operational.
• Lead capitalization, documentation of lessons learned, and final reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies, Labour,Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience managing livelihoods, employment, or social protection projects.
• Proven experience working with UN agencies, preferably ILO.
• Strong understanding of labour market interventions and inclusion principles.
• Excellent coordination, leadership, and reporting skills.
