Project Coordinator Assistant

Requirements:

• Professional experience in socio-economic development related field;
• Experience in management of development standards and processes, with a special reference to social enterprise field;
• Excellent social and public representation skills, embedding analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution approach;
• Fluent in English and Arabic;
• Good knowledge of the regional context;
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues on team agendas, provide support to team members and act in accordance with the final group decision;
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and work relations.

Main tasks:

• Assist in the implementation of the action plan for the project’s activities;
• Assisting partners in implementing and monitoring activities;
• Assist in organizing data and information, and preparing and maintaining records, documents related to the project’s activities;
• Follow up with the universities and VTI’ teams;
• Follow up with the administrative procedures and tasks in the management of the budget allocated to the universities and other partners when requested;
• Constantly monitoring the budget and support the Project Coordinator in maintaining records of the expenses;
• Review narrative and financial report submitted by partners;
• Coordinate and work closely with COSV team project;
• Report back verbally as often as needed to the project coordinator on the progress of the work;
• Assist in the preparation of donor and other reports;
• Facilitate consultations with relevant stakeholders;
• Attend meetings with all local and international NGOs working in the areas necessary;
• Provide monthly and activity based reports.

• Master Degree in Project Management/Economics/Conflict management or other related fields
• At least 4 years of relevant experience as Project Manager is required
• Previous experience in Middle East is required. Previous experience in remote project management and/or sub-granting is an asset;
• Previous experience with the EU is highly preferable
• Experience in coordinating various stakeholders (local and international) in complex partnerships
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential
• Ability to work in a team but also comfortable working autonomously and independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent communication and management skills
• Proven strategic capacity in analyzing complex environments, assessing risks and needs from a variety of sources;
