About Culture Resource
Founded in 2004, Culture Resource (Al Mawred Al Thaqafy) is a regional, non-profit organization that seeks to support artistic creativity in the Arab region and to encourage cultural exchange between intellectuals and artists within this region and abroad. The work of Culture Resource emanates from a deep appreciation of the renewable value of Arab cultural heritage, in all its ethnic, religious and linguistic diversity, and from a faith in the importance of generating a new Arab spirit of creativity as a key to liberating the imagination and stimulating progress. Culture Resource also believes that artistic and literary activities are a social necessity which demands the moral and material support on the part of all effective forces in society.
About Culture Resource programs
Culture Resource seeks to employ a coordinator who assumes responsibilities for a number of its programs. The programs of culture Resource all have a regional scope and target beneficiaries in all countries of the Arab region. They address three levels of support to the cultural sectors in these countries:
Individual support programs – mainly grants for artistic and cultural productions as well as mobility support to increase visibility of local cultural actors at a regional and global level, and arts exchange program
Institutional support programs – the focus is on strengthening the organizational and administrative structures of local, independent culture initiatives with the aim to contribute to their long-term sustainability
Cultural framework programs – primarily concerned with overcoming weaknesses in the overall framework of culture sectors by addressing culture policies
The program coordinator would mainly provide support to the following thre programs, but will be expected to expand his/her duties to assume responsibilities within other programs in the course of time:

Job description
Applicants interested in the position of Program Coordinator should meet the requirements and be able to fully assume the responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator is to provide full support to the program officers in the implementation of their programs. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Collect and organize data received by grant applicants on the office’s shared drive
Fill out information sheets and tables that summarize applications for grants
Assist in the filtering process to identify eligible and non-eligible applications, and consolidate results
Provide program officers with information that helps determine the amounts of grants
Contact and maintain communication with beneficiaries throughout the grant periods
Communicate with selection committees as instructed by program officers
Assist the program officers in finalizing grant contracts
Follow up with beneficiaries on meeting contract provisions
Maintain updated tracking sheets on program implementation status
Provide the program officers with status updates on the progress of implementing programs in different formats (figures, drafts of reports, graphic visualization, etc.)
Provide the program officer, communication focal person (Beirut) and communication unit (Cairo) with required information on application processes
Keep all data related to programs well organized and easily accessible at all times
Lead the preparations and assist in the organization of workshops and events within the framework of programs, including communication on travel dates of participants and availabilities of trainers
Attend workshops and events of programs, handle needs of trainers and participants, take minutes, and prepare activity reports
Support program officers in preparing annual budgets and purchase orders
Draft contracts for experts and trainers and follow up on receiving reports
Maintain an open communication channel with all beneficiaries
Perform other tasks if needed
Experience and skills
A minimum of two years of experience in a similar position
Fluency in Arabic (verbal and written) is a must, English is required, French is an additional asset
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Solid ability to follow, in parallel, different timelines of different projects and maintain overview of progress achieved
Ability to develop monitoring tools that help ensure the smooth, timely implementation of the program
Confidence in communication with a variety of stakeholders
Flexibility in adapting to unexpected circumstances, and capability to find solutions for challenges and bottle necks
Seriousness about meeting deadlines
Willingness to travel
Readiness to work over-time when needed
Other personal skills
