Business Implementation Officer

Purpose:

The Business Implementation Officer, under the guidance of the Business Implementation Manager, will contribute to TIF efforts in implementing activities to increase exports of Lebanese goods and services, increase sales through import substitution and create/sustain jobs. Activities are funded through grants, purchase orders, subcontracts or technical assistance. This position requires significant travel throughout Lebanon, specifically outside of Beirut.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks: 

  • Closely follow-up on and monitor the implementation of the grants, purchase orders, subcontracts and technical assistance including completion of milestones and deliverables.
  • Assist in monitoring performance of business partners of agreed upon milestones that flow from project-level targets.
  • Assist in periodically monitoring business partners’ results and recommend best approaches to ensure that business partners increase their effectiveness and efficiency and achieve improved results with greater impact.
  • Assist in monitoring activities to assure quality control and timely completion of deliverables and the submission of documentation to TIF, as required.
  • Assist with the co-creation exercises with key partners, to design solid projects.
  • Assist in evaluation of records submitted by the business partners to validate their results.
  • Develop regular reports on business partners’ performance, projects’ implementation and partners’ engagement. Then highlight any significant delays or other capacity issues that impact implementation.  
  • Maintain regular communication with business partners on the implementation and provide support and guidance as needed.  
  • Conduct regular site visits & attend business partners’ activities and events. 
  • Contribute to TIF reporting including weekly, quarterly, annual reports and work plans.  
  • Other tasks as required by the Business Implementation Manager. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in management, business, economics or any related field.
  • Three plus years of professional experience. 
  • Excellent business analytical skills.  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with diverse stakeholder groups. 
  • Strong communication skills – both written and oral – in English and Arabic.
