Call For Resumes-Lebanon Investment Finance And Entrepreneurship (Life) Proposal Component Leads

    Call for Resumes – USAID Lebanon Investment Finance and Entrepreneurship (LIFE) Project   DAI, an international consulting firm based in the United States, is currently accepting applications from candidates for long-term positions to support the anticipated U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Lebanon Investment Finance and Entrepreneurship (LIFE) project. LIFE will be a five-year project building on the recently completed Lebanon Investment in Microfinance program. LIFE will focus on building and improving entrepreneurship in Lebanon as well as connecting SMEs to needed sources of investment finance.   Equity/Venture Capital Component Lead Ensure increased access to equity finance for Lebanese entrepreneurs and SMEs. Lead efforts to improve early stage financing for start-ups and early-stage businesses Coordinate with existing and potential investment activities being designed and implemented by private sector actors Coordinate with government entrepreneurship investment programs or initiatives that support private sector investment reform   Enterprise Development Component Lead Oversee program design and implementation for enterprise development to ensure increased resources, training, and access to finance for Lebanese businesses and entrepreneurs. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships to assist banks and other financial intermediaries in better serving the needs of SMEs and start-ups Provide competitiveness analyses, trends, and forecasts on the policy/regulatory environment affecting the Lebanese private sector Promote and support the work of in-country, regional, and global incubators and accelerators to improve or enhance the skills and market opportunities for Lebanese MSMEs.   Access to Credit / Microfinance Lead Ensure increased access to debt financing for lending and working capital for MSME development. Assess MFIs’ as well as beneficiaries’ needs in order to customize technical assistance and training services. Assist MFIs and banks to increase MSME lending Lead the development of capacity building initiatives including training services and microfinance services promotion.     Requirements:   Degree in related field Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience Experience working to enhance investment and entrepreneurship in Lebanon Experience with USAID or other international donors highly preferred Solid written and oral communication skills Fluency in English Fluency in Arabic and French highly preferred
