Lebanon Water Project (LWP)   Call for Resumes   Private Sector Advisor, Long term position   Background: DAI seeks Private Sector Advisor candidates for the USAID-funded “Lebanon Water Project (LWP).” This five-year project will work to increase reliable and sustainable access to potable water for Lebanese citizens; improve water management practices and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of public water utilities, while raising awareness on sustainable water use practices and promote better water governance to help assure long-term protection of Lebanon’s water resources.   General Objective:   The Private Sector Advisor will work with the Component Lead to engage with the private sector and identify partnership opportunities in water management with the water utilities.   Responsibilities: Work with Lebanon’s four Regional Water Establishments and the Litani River Authority to identify potential areas for private sector engagement Establish and maintain working relationships with the private sector to assess interest, needs and leverage points. Support the Component Lead to improve public private partnerships that comply with Lebanon’s legal and regulatory frameworks Contribute to the design and development of activities with the private sector. Implement activities with the private sector, ensuring active monitoring and evaluation, and timely closing of activities Participate in annual workplan development with the technical team Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience working with the private sector, working with private investors, local and international companies, and business groups and associations. Experience in natural resource management preferred Demonstrated project management experience, including in an international development context. Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, urban planning, international development, and/or related field. Advanced degree in business, public administration, urban planning and development, international studies, or other relevant field, preferred. Previous experience with strategic planning and management skills working with external and internal stakeholders. Demonstrated communications and presentation skills.
