Lebanon Water Project (LWP)   Call for Resumes   Training and Capacity Development Officer, Long term position   Background: DAI seeks Training and Capacity Development Officer candidates for the USAID-funded “Lebanon Water Project (LWP).” This five-year project will work to increase reliable and sustainable access to potable water for Lebanese citizens; improve water management practices and enhance the efficiency and sustainability of public water utilities, while raising awareness on sustainable water use practices and promote better water governance to help assure long-term protection of Lebanon’s water resources.   General Objective:   The Training and Capacity Development Officer will work with the Training and Capacity Development Manager to conceptualize and implement effective training programs for the Regional Water Establishments and the Litani River Authority.   Responsibilities: Support Training and Capacity Development Manager to design courses to improve service delivery and resource management of regional water utilities. Deliver training courses covering topics such as operations management, enterprise resource planning, master planning, performance auditing, and asset valuation. Monitor and assess training programs and activities to ensure effectiveness. Work closely with institutional development team and utility coordinators  Facilitate training logistics, venues, catering where needed.  Prepare pre-training checklist, questionnaires, and apply pro training assessment surveys, and feedback.  Prepare training material where applicable, training plans, corresponding presentations and handouts.  Carry on after training evaluation and assessments.  Report on training and post related training information and statistical data on Project database and net.  Prepare training certificates; document all training activities manually and online. Facilitate public events for certificate distributions, Seminars, workshops, and study tours. Other tasks as assigned Qualifications: ·         2 to 4 years of experience working in professional development, human resources management, and/or human and institutional capacity development ·         Demonstrated management of training programs Familiarity with various training methods, including competency-based training Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources management, international development, and/or related field. Demonstrated communications and presentation skills.
