Introduction & Background
Rural tourism is one of the value chains in Lebanon supported by LIVCD through grants and technical assistance. The overall goal for LIVCD’s work in the rural tourism sector is to achieve a competitive and functional value chain, measured by increased sales by rural tourism actors, increased jobs in the rural tourism sector, and strengthened Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). LIVCD works to achieve this partly by supporting local service providers to upgrade their facilities, with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of services offered to tourists and thus attracting higher numbers of visitors.
The in-kind grant agreement – G-LIVCD-204 – is between LIVCD and arcecnciel in Taanayel Bekaa.
