TIF - MEL Coordinator

 

Project Background:

The USAID/Lebanon Trade and investment Facilitation (TIF) Activity will facilitate the export of Lebanese goods and services to generate foreign exchange through investments and business enabling environment reform that simultaneously promote job creation, income generation, and improved livelihoods throughout the country. TIF has three objectives: 1) increased exports of Lebanese goods and services, 2) investment facilitation leading to increased domestic investment, and 3) improved business and investment enabling environment. Communicating results through outreach and sharing knowledge with private and public sectors is a crosscutting objective.

Purpose:

The Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator will report to the MEL Specialist and be responsible for managing data collection and analysis and MEL activities across the project.

Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • With guidance from MEL Specialist and CLA Director, develop data collection forms needed to harmonize the project’s data collection process.
  • With guidance from MEL Specialist and CLA Director, collect data on ongoing activities.
  • Update TIF’s database and its Indicators Performance Tracking Table – IPTT.
  • Update and share TIF dashboard on quarterly basis and inform technical team on progress made towards yearly targets set.
  • Update and generate quarterly mapping reports showing the distribution of TIF’s activities and assisted entities.
  • Manage geographic data reporting of implemented activities.
  • Provide training to grantees on data collection and M&E as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Degree in social studies, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in collecting, analyzing and managing monitoring and evaluation data.
  • Advanced MS. Excel skills.
  • Familiar with online data collection tools.
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation for international donor programs required. Experience with MEL for USAID projects is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral – in English and Arabic.
