BACKGROUND The Lebanon Industry Value Chain Development (LIVCD), originally a five year project, has received a sixteen month extension up to January 2019, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented under the leadership of DAI Global LLC (DAI). The LIVCD project aims to increase the competitiveness of selected value chains, expand the number of Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises that can compete in selected markets, improve linkages between those firms and other actors throughout the value chain, increase the gross value of products and services in local and export markets,: and expand exports.
OBJECTIVES The Value Chain Coordinator will provide day-to-day technical assistance to insure proper implementation of grants, M&E data collection, facilitate training and upgrading interventions for target VCs, and will oversee farmer demonstration plots and farmer field day programs to improve production technologies. Specific Tasks • Obtain and report on M&E and project economic leverage data for all Bekaa grants, active and closed ones. • Insure proper implementation of all active grants in Bekaa, including timely reporting. • Support the Grants Team in insuring proper disposition of all granted items in Bekaa. • Work with beneficiaries, banks, and MFIs to increase access to and use of financial services within the region. • Other duties as directed by the Value Chain Manager or her/his designee.
Supervision The Value Chain Coordinator will work under the direction and report to the Value Chain Manager.
