Dan Church Aid (DCA) is an independent INGO working in Lebanon to provide humanitarian assistance for Syrian refugees living in host communities and/or informal tented settlements as well as some of the most vulnerable Lebanese host communities and families affected by the Syrian crisis.

Humanitarian Officer – Lebanon
Purpose of the job:
The Humanitarian Officer will provide monitoring and support to partners implementing DCA humanitarian response activities in Lebanon.
.
Main tasks:
Assist in the expansion of the DCA project portfolio and advise on partnership opportunities
Monitor and report on the implementation of all DCA humanitarian response activities in Lebanon.
Provide or secure technical support to partners where necessary.
Ensure project compliance to DCA and donor requirements, and reporting
Attend relevant humanitarian fora, national civil society organisations, international NGOs, UN agencies, local authorities and other stakeholders meeting as appropriate
Support the monitoring of field projects
Participate in needs assessments
Provide capacity building support to the implementing partner organisations in quality and accountability policy and practice, cash transfer programming, and other areas as needed
Be active part of field assessments with partners
Other Responsibilities:
Maintain appropriate activities updates and reporting requirements for DCA, MOSA and authorities as required
Bring to the attention of the Emergency Response Manager Lebanon any misuse or mishandling of DCA funding resources.
Be prepared to travel to field locations and on occasion attend meetings outside of
Lebanon if applicable.
Any required tasks within the frame of capacity.
Provide verbal and written translation Arabic to English as required
Qualifications:
A degree in Accounting, Finance or Business administration.
2-3 years of experience in a related field preferably in NGO.
Fluency written and spoken in Arabic and English
Good IT skills especially in Microsoft office applications.
Valid Driver’s Licence
Familiar with Sphere humanitarian standards as well as Accountability principles
