About the jobThe Area Logistics & Procurement Assistant (ALPA) is responsible to the Area Logistics & Procurement Manager (ALPM) for procurement of program supplies in their location and supporting improvements in all logistical and procurement functions including supply chain management, fleet management, assets, warehousing and communications in coordination with the Operations Officer. This requires a highly motivated and detail solution oriented individual who will be able to help resolve operational critical challenges as they arise.
Duties
• Ensure that all orders are tracked from point of planning and request through to final receipt. Send the procurement tracker to the OO and ALPM• Prepare the relevant documents for the procurement of goods and services, referring to the OO or the ALPM as needed.• Participate in evaluation of bids and proposals and make sure the bids evaluation report, technical evaluation, minutes of negotiations and negotiated contract in selection of consultants contain all the facts and information required to justify the recommendations made in the report. • Participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items conformity to Technical Specifications and Quantities.• Check that all assets old and new are properly recorded and tagged. Keep the asset register, asset cards and personal issue forms are up to date with information of where each asset is/who it has been issued to. • Perform the physical asset check with the ALPM, print updated asset register, sign and file. Record any damages or faulty items and arrange to have the fixed if possible/cost effective. Send updated asset register to Area Operations Manager. • Overseeing deliveries to and dispatches from DRC warehouses and effecting the necessary documentation.• Maintaining good communications with warehouse staff in other DRC locations and partner organizations.• Assist with Fleet Management tasks as needed, which may include (but is not limited to):• Updating daily vehicle movement schedule and records and assigning of all mechanical transport as required. • Compile regular fuel consumption reports and monthly vehicle utilization analysis, and send to the ALPM on a monthly basis.
About youEssential• Experience in administrative tasks, including filing systems. • Excellent interpersonal and team skills• Excellent IT skills• Fluency in written and spoken English• Commitment to and understanding of DRC’s aims, values and principles
Desirable • Experience in supply chain management including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management• Experience with standard procurement procedures and documentation. • Experience with construction and site project management• Experience with auto mechanics or electrical installations.• Ability to speak other international languages.• Relevant qualifications or training courses.

You must be willing and able to work in Bekaa.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1204 USD
