We are looking for a highly qualified candidate tobuild the capacity of local partners (non-governmental organizations) and Social Development Centers (managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs-MoSA) as well as the internal training of DRC staff in Tripoli. In addition, the Capacity Building Officer oversees the gender-based violence (GBV) and Child protection case management.
Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
The Capacity Building Specialist has the overall responsibility to provide technical support and monitor the implementation of capacity building efforts of local partners and MoSA Social Development Centers (SDC) in Gender-based violence (GBV) and Child protection prevention and response.
Duties
• Develop comprehensive capacity building plans for local partners and SDCs based on respective needs and ensuring quality interventions;
• Provide trainings based on the harmonized training packages to local partners and SDCs;
• Identify technical gaps in the program and identify/implement solutions to meet these gaps;
• Oversee the provision of trainings on organizational capacity in coordination with CB Specialist, FAM and Operation Manager
• Understand and follow up on activities and assess progress of implementation, provide solutions and report issues when needed,
• Ensure that implementation of monitoring and evaluation tools and report on problems in the implementation of the program;
• Act as GBVIMS focal points; Support the collection, storage, filing and analysis of GBV-related data through the use of the GBV information management system (GBV IMS).
• Contribute to the overall protection/CS weekly/monthly report underlining protection issues and related trends and figures in coordination with the Protection Manager;
• Support case managers through the provision of supervision and guidance. Ensure that staff implement and respect best-practice and international standards in GBV and Child protection prevention and response;
• Coordinate program implementation through regular meetings with donors and all other local and international actors;
• Develop and maintain effective working relationship with relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers;
About you
To be successful in this role you must have a bachelor in Social work, women’s studies or another related field; Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail; Experience in conducting training needs analysis/assessments and developing training programs for a broad range of audiences from different institutional levels; Experience in building capacities of local partners and providing direct technical support to local organizations; Experience in management and leading team-building activities; experience in clinical supervision preferred;
Ideally you will also have Master degree in gender studies, social work and/or psychology, Previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings.
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until end of December 2016, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from mid May 2016 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level C1, equivalent to 1650$ per month.
