We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who can fit the position of Capacity Building Volunteer in Akkar.
Who are we?
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
The CBO mapping volunteer has the main responsibility to identify community based organizations working in each of the intervention area and the targeted sectors of intervention for each.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify NGO’s and community based organisations in the area of intervention, in coherence with the project to be implemented;
• Contact each NGO through phone calls or field visits to identify the sectors of intervention and activities implemented by them for any future collaboration;
• Compile all findings in the requested template, and update it periodaclly;
• Participate in committees to explain the information found if needed.
• University degree relevant to social work, business administration, social sciences;
• Solid experience with planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation skills;
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Preferably previous experience with an INGCO or local NGO.

We offer
DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract till the end of June 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from the First of April 2017 and be willing and able to work in Akkar.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Expatriates and Nationals; please refer to www.drc.ngo under Vacancies. This position will be placed at level V1, equivalent to 450$ per month.
