Cash Assistant

Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobUnder the direct line management of the CASH officer, the CASH assistant is responsible for the preparation of the LP cards distributions and for the actual LP cards distributions on the field. The assistant is also responsible for the field briefings to cash recipient, to ensure their understand the process and are clear about the different steps needed to retrieve the cash Duties• Receive lists of HHs in need of cash assistance by the cash officer (cases that have been checked on RAIS beforehand)• Support the CASH officer in the preparation of HHs visits for distribution of Liban Post cards, per area of intervention and ensuring best use of cars and assets • Provide clear briefings to cash recipients on the field about the Liban Post process and the hotline • Provide the CASH Officer with the internal tracking sheet on a daily basis for the preparation of the Liban Post campaigns. Provide the Cash Officer with the needed and accurate information in order to fill in the IPT on a monthly basis • Daily update of the DRC internal tracking tools (internal tracking follow up tool)• Ensure proper and safe filing of all cash distribution related documents (receipts, pictures, field tracking tools, LP loading forms (hard signed copies and scanned copies). Ensure proper documentation is safely kept and stored electronically• Support the CASH officer in calling recipient on a weekly basis to ensure they have received the Liban Post SMS• To provide daily reports to the Cash officer, including accurate figures of distributions done and challenges encountered, in the agreed format About youTo be successful in this role you must have Bachelor in Social work, political science, finance , business or related field, At least 1 year of experience in humanitarian aid. Ideally you will also have Good knowledge of protection principle in humanitarian settings, Good knowledge of vulnerability criteria and the Bekaa contextAbility to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;Excellent interpersonal skills and team player; Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)And Fluency in Arabic We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 9 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from January 2016 and be willing and able to work in Bekaa.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
