Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dkAbout the jobUnder the direct line management of the Area Program manager, the CASH officer is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of all CASH assistance related activities (One-off emergency cash assistance, MPCG, LCC and Cash for rent)
Duties• Receive lists of HHs in need of cash assistance by any sector manager. Compile list received on a daily basis and send it to the Area MEL manager for cross-checking on RAIS (Area Database Officer). Follow-up with the MEL team to receive results of the cross checking• Inform referring sector manager about the results of the cross checks and if the HHs is not assessed yes, inform the sector manager to proceed with VPA• Assist the sector teams in doing VPA assessment only when absolutely necessary and only upon validation by the Area Program manager to ensure proper segregation of duties• Ensure proper planning and preparation of HHs visits for distribution of Liban Post cards, per area of intervention and ensuring best use of cars and assets. Inform sector managers about distributions plans (date, location, individuals)• Ensure proper and safe filing of all cash distribution related documents (receipts, pictures, field tracking tools, LP loading forms (hard signed copies and scanned copies). Ensure proper documentation is safely kept and stored electronically• Organize and share tasks among the CASH team. Prepare relevant documents related to procurement, administration and human resources, according to the CASH assistance program needs and DRC internal procedures (OR, BOQs, leaves requests, movements plans, security clearances...etc.)• Update the IPT on a monthly basis and send it to the Area Program Manager before the 2nd of each month• Provide the narrative monthly report to the Area Program Manager before the 2nd of each month
About youTo be successful in this role you must have Bachelor in Social work, political science, finance , business or related field, At least 2 years of experience in humanitarian aid.
Ideally you will also have Good knowledge of protection principle in humanitarian settings, Good knowledge of vulnerability criteria and the Bekaa contextAbility to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times;Excellent interpersonal skills and team player; Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)And Fluency in Arabic and English
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 9 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from January 2016 and be willing and able to work in Bekaa.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level C1, equivalent USD 1,561 per month.
