Collective Site Management And Coordination Assistant

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate ready to cooperate with community development team. Who are we? The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the job You will supervise and carry on activities in the collective centers in North Bekaa district in coordination with the collective site management and coordination officer Duties• Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Collective Centre committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons.• Conduct focus group discussions/workshops with refugees of different ages and gender to identify their needs and concerns. • Support the committees in conducting awareness sessions and information sharing for Collective Center residents.• Identify gaps, problems and vulnerable cases in their area of responsibilities and report to the Collective Site Management and Coordination Officer (CSMCO).• Facilitate and encourage the participation of the community in the daily life of the Collective Center and conduct surveys and data collection within the Collective Center as directed.• Assist in the maintenance of records of Collective Centre residents and identify, coordinate and/or collaborate with other service providers in order to reinforce information sharing and service provision. • Provide information to the Refugees on the services available and/or provided by service providers working in the Collective Centres.   About you To be successful in this role you must have a university degree in social work , with a minimum 1 year of relevant work experience , experience in community mobilization, experience with local NGOs(partnering ) , Ideally you will also have a university degree in social work, with a minimum 1 year of relevant work experience, experience in community mobilization, experience with local NGOs(partnering ) , Experience in emergency work, experience with INGO. We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work immediately. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
