The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

The CSMC Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day coordination of the CSMC programming, provision of technical support and on the job capacity building, donor compliance, compliance with DRC Lebanon Overall Strategy and Sector Strategy and SoPs and contribute to the development of DRC CSMC programming in Lebanon

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide technical support, supervision and guidance to the CSMC teams
• to ensure protection of beneficiaries and adequate maintenance of site infrastructures;
• Identify technical gaps in the program and identify/implement solutions to meet these gaps;
• Develop comprehensive and tailored capacity building plans for CSMC staff and implementing partners based on respective needs and ensuring quality services;
• Develop SoPs and relevant tools as per need and take care of the roll out and follow up of their implementation;
• Assist the field-based CSMC managers in the assurance of donor compliance, grants reporting contributions, use and distribution of supplies and resources;
• Support the submission of timely, accurate and well-written donor reports and other reporting requirements of CSMC programming;
• Revise the CSMC strategy for DRC Lebanon after consultation with field-based managers;
• Represent DRC before relevant donors at Beirut and/or field levels (if/when required) on CSMC programming and CSMC-related issues;
• Coordinate with central/local authorities and stakeholders to involve them in activities and promote integration of the collective sites within host communities;
• Work closely with the MEL-IM department to improve CSMC components of existing monitoring and IM mechanisms and tools;
• Oversee and ensure achievements of targets towards donors’ requirements through overall coordination of the CSMC programming;
About you
To be successful in this role you must have a relevant Bachelor Degree; knowledge of the Syrian humanitarian crisis;knowledge of the social structure and political environment; fluency in English
In addition to that, you must have Min. 4 years of work experience in emergency and humanitarian response operations on displacement related affairs, preferably in camps and camp-like situations; Min. 2 years of direct experience in camp management/collective shelters management; Previous experience in Lebanon and/or in the Middle East Countries; Demonstrated capacity-building skills and approach; documented mid-level/senior level management experience;
Ideally, you will have a Master’s degree and understand Arabic
We offer
DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until the 30th of September 2016, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 15th of February 2016 and be willing and able to work in Lebanon.
