Who are we
The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assitance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.

About the job
Under the supervision of the Community Centre Officer, plan, help organize, follow-up and report on activities offered in our 3 community centres.
Duties
Conduct FGDs and fill out questionnaires with beneficiaries to assess POC’s needs and interests;
Attend the activities, trainings and courses to evaluate the performance of the trainers and the satisfaction of the beneficiaries;
Evaluate constantly the quality of the services provided in the community center by conducting evaluation exercises with beneficiaries, trainers, center staff and establish a proper complaints mechanism;
Assist the community center officer in the detailed planning of and reporting on the community center activities;
Prepare the monthly report for his/her sector of responsibility;
About you
To be successful in this role you must have:
University degree; preferably related to social work
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Experience in development projects or community mobilization
Ideally you will also have:
Experience in emergency work is a plus
Experience with INGO (advantage)
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from August 1st 2014 and be willing and able to work in Akkar Province, including Wadi Khaled.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to USD 1,180 per month (basic salary).
