Community Support Project Assistant (Lebanese National Staff Only)

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who can assist and supervise all community support projects activities in Tripoli. Who are we?  DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.  DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.  For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.ngo   About the job  Assisting and supervising all community support projects activities in Tripoli.   Duties  • Raise awareness about the CSP initiative and mobilizing communities actors to submit proposals.  • Support in monitoring previous and ongoing Cash For Work (CFW) and Community Support Projects (CSP) activities and ensure timely and proper implementation  • Inform communities of project value—both monetary and social impact--and provide regular updates on all expenditure on projects to DRC    • Once projects are approved, supply resources (procure and deliver materials) and support applicants in implementing projects  • Create work plans (daily and weekly) and report updates on progress of all projects on a regular basis and a final monitoring report upon completion;  • Monitor project implementation on a regular basis and participate in periodic reviews of the program, providing support where needed;   • Take responsibility of data entry for all the documents.  • Conduct outreach field visits and identify vulnerable beneficiaries to enroll in rapid income generation activities     About you  To be successful in this role you must have Bachelor Degree in engineering and minimum 2 years experience in similar field.  Ideally you will also have a Bachelor Degree in civil engineering and social field. In addition to an experience with NGO and in development projects or community mobilization and social work.    We offer  An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 5 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from April 2016 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.  Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1,250$ per month.     Commitments  DRC has a Humanitarian Accountability Framework, outlining its global accountability commitments.
