We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated CSP (Community Support Projects) Officer for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa.
Who are we?
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.
Duties
Follow up on previous and ongoing CSPs in his/her AoR ensurly timely implementation;
Establish committees, train them and design projects based on the needs;
Design and Conduct need assessments with host and refugee communities including municipalities, community representatives and youth (maintaining gender balance)
Conduct FGDs with host and refugee communities to identify common priorities for a particular area.
Represent DRC with stakeholders in the field such as local authorities, community representatives, displaced individuals;
Identify community actors and potential partners according to priority needs in the area;
Strengthen the capacities of community actors to let them address concrete needs and problems in their communities.
Assist the community empowerment and livelihood manager in designing the community needs assessments in accordance with DRC guidelines
Develop, plan and organize trainings/ workshops with facilitated dialogue and meetings between municipalities and community members;
Conduct monitoring visit to ensure the timely and properly implementation of the Community Support Projects;
Conduct evaluation visit in order to ensure the completion of all activities in order to proceed with hand over process.
Provide constant feedback to his/her supervisor on progress, lessons learnt, achievements, gaps, issues and problems;
Prepare and insure the implementation of the daily/weekly/monthly work plan, in coordination with the CELM;
Ensure proper implementation of CSPs in his/her AoR;
Prepare all contracts, documents and payments of CSPs;
Submit weekly and monthly reports according to DRC reporting system and according to his/her supervisor’s instructions;
Prepare handover plans and ensure sustainability of projects;
Finance/Admin/HR /Log
Supervise CSP assistant and ensure proper filling of HR documents such as attendance sheets and leave requests.
Assess sector procurement needs and submit Order Request and payment request according to DRC procedures;
Keep soft and hard records of all procurement contracts (services, goods, works) related to his/her sector of responsibility;
Ensure that payments related to CSP are timely done and in compliance to DRC regulations
About you – Essential skills/experience
Essential qualifications:
University degree or advanced degree in social studies, economics, community development, or social entrepreneurship;
Political and cultural awareness;
Essential experience:
At least 2 years of proven international/or local experience in Community Empowerment and Livelihoods;
Preferred qualifications:
Proven communication, interpersonal, representation, negotiation, promotion and diplomacy skills; specifically with Local partners and authorities.
Preferred experience:
Familiarity with community-based programming and ability to incorporate lessons learned from similar experiences;

An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 15th of November 2014 and be willing and able to work in North Bekaa (Baalbek).
Basic Salary: 1505 $
