Community Support Project Officer

DRC has been operating in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Lebanese communities affected by the war in 2006.  DRC is committed to basic humanitarian principles; including impartiality and neutrality, and offers the highest standards of accountability to the people it serves.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dkAbout the jobImplementation And follow up of CSP related projects Duties• Follow up on previous and ongoing Community Support Projects in his/her AoR ensuring timely implementation;• Conduct needs assessments with host and refugee communities including municipalities,          community representatives and youth (maintaining gender balance);• Conduct FGDs with host and refugee communities to identify common priorities for a particular area;• Represent DRC with stakeholders in the field such as local authorities, community representatives, displaced individuals;• Identify community actors and potential partners according to priority needs in the area;• Strengthen the capacities of community actors to enable them to address needs and problems in their communities;• Support identified local partner in drafting project proposals according to PCM principles; About youTo be successful in this role you must have, University Degree; preferably related to social work, Minimum 2 years of work experience in humanitarian or relevant_Experience in community mobilization activities, -Experience in performing assessment activities,-Experience in working with local authorities a and Technical background or expertise in Shelter and WASH sectors.Ideally you will also have ,Excellent interpersonal and reporting skills , Good communication and organizational skills        We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 4 Months  contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 20 of December  be willing and able to work in Kobayat Akkar.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff.
