Who are we
The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assistance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.

About the job
The volunteer shall assist CSMC team with filling assessments, data collection, and data entry, and in the distribution of NFIs.
Duties
• Data Entry for the CSMC resident’s information.
• Filling, Updating CSMC data on the Alpha System and archiving CSMC data.
• Calling training attendees/committee members to confirm their attendance in various CSMC trainings.
• Site and Household profiling for Informal Settlements and Collective Centers managed by CSMC Team.
• Facilitate the establishment and support the functioning of Collective Site committees with a particular attention to vulnerable groups and/or persons.
• Identify vulnerable cases in their area of responsibilities and coordinate with the CSMC assistant to report to the CSMC Officer.
• Conduct surveys, assessments and data collection within the collective sites as directed.
• Monitor service provision and collective sites status aiming at ensuring refugees dignity. Report immediately any significant changes, events, protection or security threat to the CSMC Officer.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines;Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel). Fair in English and Arabic. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility.
Ideally you will also have Experience of participating in community based organization or volunteering in social work activities. Minimum of 6 months relevant work experience.
We offer
An interesting job in one of theworld’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 4 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from June 2016 and be willing and able to work in Bekaa.
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at levelvolunteer, equivalent to USD 445 per month.
