Who are we?
The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assistance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.

About the job
Working within a team of highly motivated people and an organization dedicated to provide assistance to Syrian refugees. The Tripoli province office is based in Qualamoun. DRC is working alongside various partners including the UNHCR.
Duties
Follow up on previous and ongoing Community Support Projects in his/her AoR ensuring timely implementation;
Conduct needs assessments with host and refugee communities including municipalities, community representatives and youth (maintaining gender balance);
Conduct FGDs with host and refugee communities to identify common priorities for a particular area;
Represent DRC with stakeholders in the field such as local authorities, community representatives, displaced individuals;
Identify community actors and potential partners according to priority needs in the area;
Strengthen the capacities of community actors to enable them to address needs and problems in their communities;
Support identified local partner in drafting project proposals according to PCM principles;
Draft workplan for the implementation of each Community Support Project;
Prepare weekly plan of activities to be implemented by the supervised team;
Ensure implementation of workplan received by his/her supervisor;
Submit weekly and monthly reports according to DRC reporting system and according to his supervisor’s instructions;
Conduct monitoring visit to ensure the timely and properly implementation of the Community Support Projects;
Conduct evaluation visit in order to ensure the completion of all activities in order to proceed with hand over process.
Supervise CSP assistant and ensure proper filling of HR documents such as attendance sheets and leave requests.
Assess sector procurement needs and submit Order Request and payment request according to DRC procedures;
Keep soft and hard records of all procurement contracts (services, goods, works) related to his/her sector of responsibility;
Ensure that payments related to CSP are timely done and in compliance to DRC regulations;

We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until the end of December 2014, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from October 2014 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli-Lebanon. Basic salary:1505 $
