Deputy Program Development And Grants Coordinator

DRC Lebanon is looking for a Deputy Programme Development and Grants Coordinator with the following qualifications and whose responsibilities are outlined below. Note that this vacancy is for Lebanese nationals, or those with dual citizenship, only. Who are we? The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, as well as supporting vulnerable communities of Lebanese who are hosting refugees. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk ResponsibilitiesExternal Representation and Coordination • Support liaison with donor representatives (including UNHCR, BPRM, DFID, DANIDA, ERF) on grants related issues;• Participate in donor meetings, and support donor visits to programme sites;• Assist the Programme Development and Grants Coordinator in providing briefings to external (and DRC regional and HQ) persons requesting information on the DRC Lebanon program;• Attend sector Working Groups, and other external meetings as required, in coordination with Head of Programme and Programme Development and Grants Coordinator; Programme development• Draft, coordinate, edit and support quality assurance of concept notes, proposals and project amendments in line with identified needs and funding opportunities, and in coordination with field programme staff and the Head of Programme; Donor relations and Fundraising• Develop DRC Lebanon fundraising strategy to resource the country strategy;• Support fundraising efforts in coordination with Country Director and Head of Programme;• Coordinate mapping of donors, development of donor database, and potential funding opportunities;• Support in donor negotiation process for all projects. Grants Management• Act as Grants Management System (GMS) focal point for DRC Lebanon, ensuring all project information is regularly updated on the system and One Drive;• Stay up to date with DRC donor rules and regulations, and ensure DRC compliance with donor and DRC reporting guidelines;• Coordinate Grants opening, review and closing meetings;• Support Communications Officer and Area Managers to develop area profiles and grants fact sheets; • Deliver training on regional grants guidelines to field offices. Reporting• Ensure reporting systems are in place for each project including reporting formats and frequency;• Ensure timely and high quality reports are submitted to donors;• Provide quality assurance on all reporting documents for DRC Lebanon; • Ensure regular reporting to inter-agency coordination tool Activity Info;• Prepare quarterly reports and project development summaries for DRC Regional Office. About you Essential• University degree with advanced training/courses either in project management, international relations, communications, or other related field; • 5 years’ experience in grants management, project reporting, information management and/or communications with 2 years’ experience in management position;• Solid knowledge of key donor regulations, and compliance requirements (DFID, UNHCR, EU, DANIDA);• Analytical thinking and supervisory skills;• Proven experience to develop successfully-funded proposals;• Experience of developing and implementing a fundraising strategy;• Ability to work with tight deadlines for proposal development/ reports, etc.• Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and attention to detail;• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, working with different groups, partners and nationalities.• Strong initiative and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to teamwork and humanitarian principles.• Knowledge and experience of project cycle management;• Ability to communicate effectively at different levels and across cultures; • knowledge of humanitarian coordination mechanisms;• High-level of knowledge and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. required.• Excellent level of written and spoken proficiency in English Language.• Commitment to the values, vision and mission of DRC;• Experience working with the region• Proficiency in Arabic We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 12 month contract, with a 3 month probation period. You must be available to start work from 01 November 2015 and be willing and able to work in Beirut with travel to the field. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at Level E equivalent to Basic Salary:  2669 USD.
