Distribution Project Assistant – Baalbeck

  We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Distribution Project Assistant for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa.     Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports on distributed items; Prepares and follows up on the monthly distribution action plan; Follows up with the warehouse team on availability of stocks; Ensure the items are available in the warehouse and transported to the field on daily basis; Coordinates the distribution with other partners; Coordinates closely with WFP regarding shop monitoring, findings, warnings etc.; Support the distribution team whenever needed in the distribution and with the vouchers collection, reconciliation and other tasks; About you To be successful in this role you must have social work experiences and be able to work under pressure. In addition, flexibility in terms of working hours and working locations is essential. As for the language, both English and Arabic are mandatory in speaking and typing. You must be available to start work from 15th March 2014 and be willing and able to work in North Bekaa (Baalbeck).
