Emergency Cash Assistant

Who are we?The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental and nonprofit organization, founded in 1956, that works in more than 30 countries around the world.DRC has been operating in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Lebanese communities affected by the war in 2006.  DRC is committed to basic humanitarian principles; including impartiality and neutrality, and offers the highest standards of accountability to the people it serves.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk About the jobConducting HH and Individual assessment and profiling vulnerability (socio-economic and protection concerns) Duties• Organize and conduct assessment household visits to verify and evaluate the socio-economic situation and protection profile of selected beneficiaries.• Ensure accurate data collection, follow up and referral of the most vulnerable refugees.• Ensure the verification schedule, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines are adhered to;• Data entry of the findings of the assessment;• Preparation of supporting document for the release of cash transfer; • Ensuring compliance of the Code of Conduct and relevant SOP;• Provide regular verbal feedback on field observations and verification findings to the M&E Manager/Officer. About you• Bachelor in Social work, political science, law or other related field;  • At least 1 year experience in humanitarian aid;• Good knowledge of protection principle in humanitarian settings;• Good knowledge of vulnerability criteria;• Ability to maintain confidentiality, respect, non-discrimination and safety of client at all times; • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player; • Comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible with working hours and able to handle pressure well;• Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel);• Fluency in Arabic and English. • Previous experience in international organizations and humanitarian settings;• Previous experience working with Syrian refugees in Lebanon; We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGO. DRC will offer the successful applicant a six month contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. Basic Salary: 1,204 USD.
