Who are weDRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. About the jobThe Emergency Cash Assistant will conducting house hold and individual assessment and profiling vulnerability (socio economic and protection concerns)
Duties• Organize and conduct assessment household visits to verify and evaluate the socio-economical situation and protection profile of selected beneficiaries.• Ensure accurate data collection, follow up and referral of the most vulnerable refugees.• Ensure the verification schedule, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines are adhered to;• Data entry of the findings of the assessment;• Preparation of supporting document for the release of cash transfer; • Ensuring compliance of the Code of Conduct and relevant SOP;• Provide regular verbal feedback on field observations and verification findings to the M&E Manager/Officer.
About youTo be successful in this role you must have Bachelor in Social work, political science, law or other related field; At least 1 years experience in humanitarian aid; Good knowledge of protection principle in humanitarian settings; Good knowledge of vulnerability criteria; Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel); Fluency in Arabic and English.
Ideally you will also have Qualitative and quantities data collection; Previous experience in Open Data Kit platform
We offerAn interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from Mid-June 2015 and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level B1, equivalent to 1204$ per month.
