Emergency Response Officer - Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Emergency Response Officer for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa. Who are we? DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties   Preparing, monitoring and evaluating the Emergency Response Assistants and Direct Assistance Assistants activities and their daily chores Set up the centralized assessment and distribution plan for the ERAs and DAAs and assign their tasks on a daily basis before heading to the field Supervising both teams providing coaching and support Archiving all the documents relevant to the team’s activities Keep track of the Android devices and help fix all difficulties related to the assessment Communicate with the local partners, municipalities and local authorities in order to get the newcomers lists registered in each village and facilitate our ERAs daily duty calls throughout the area Collaborate with the local Focal Points Write an appraisal report on the Assessment process (achievements, statistics, challenges, recommendations etc…) Provide relevant input for daily, weekly and monthly reports Report to the ERM daily. Supervising and training a team of volunteers who assist the DAAs and the ERAs throughout the distribution and registration activities. Generate reports on weekly and monthly basis to our donors. Coordinate with the warehouse on releasing and returning of items. Issue monthly payments and follow up with the procurement and finance officers on all payments and purchasing. About you To be successful in this role you must have a University Degree (Bachelor Degree) , in Social Sciences or Humanitarian attribute,  in addition to a previous experience as Team Leader or an officer for a year with any local or international NGO. Ideally you will also have a bachelor of Human rights and an Officer for 1 year. We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant a 2 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 10th of November 2014 and be willing and able to work in North Bekaa (Baalbek).
