The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental and nonprofit organization, founded in 1956, that works in more than 30 countries around the world. DRC has been operating in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Lebanese communities affected by the war in 2006. DRC is committed to basic humanitarian principles; including impartiality and neutrality, and offers the highest standards of accountability to the people it serves.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011, and the Bekaa valley since February 2012. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities and rehabilitation of collective shelters.
DRC is inviting local candidates to apply for the position of Field Monitor - Baalbek, to support its activities.
Reporting to Distribution Officers
Responsible for Conducting post distribution monitoring
General and Monitoring Responsibilities
Conduct shops monitoring visits for food vouchers in order to monitor the shops performance, prices, use of vouchers, availability of goods, hygiene standards etc.;
Conduct visits to fuel stations to monitor the performance, prices, use of vouchers, treatment of beneficiaries etc;
Develop monitoring tools when necessary to capture the satisfaction of beneficiaries, the quality of DRC’s services, the shops’ performance etc.;
Conduct monitoring home visits to beneficiaries and conduct HHs interviews;
Follow up on complaints and findings;
Conduct Focus group discussions with beneficiaries’ during the distribution;
Manage and continuously update the monitoring tracking database;
Follow up on corrective measures and actions to be taken internally by DRC or by partners to address issues with beneficiaries’ and food/fuel suppliers;
Provide solutions in order to address the findings when necessary;
Reporting
Organize and ensure a timely, proper written weekly reporting and report daily if needed on findings;
Prepare monitoring reports on findings, recommendation, follow up etc;
Generate reports from the database including qualitative data and qualitative analysis of findings;
