Who are we
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
The GBV Coordinator has the overall responsibility for leading, coordinating and overseeing DRC GBV activities in the DRC areas of operations over Lebanon. In addition, the GBV coordinator has the responsibility to oversee the capacity building efforts of local partners (non-governmental organizations) and Social Development Centers (managed by the Ministry of Social Affairs-MoSA)on GBV prevention and response. This position will also have the responsibility of overseeing case management and overall technical support related to GBV prevention and response activities.
Duties
• Provide technical support, supervision and guidance to the GBV-related activities (incl. Case management, psychosocial support to women, girls and men, emotional support groups, information dissemination, risk mitigation activities and community mobilization).
• Develop comprehensive and tailored technical capacity building plans for GBV staff and local partners/SDCs and implementing partners based on respective needs and ensuring quality services in coordination with the DRC staff responsible for the overall partnership development (Deputy Head of Program, Deputy Area Programme Managers);
• Develop training packages tailored to the capacity and needs of local partners and SDCs; The training package on GBV; assessment, identification and referral of protection cases; delivery of Psychological First Aid (PFA); dissemination of key protection messages and information on available services.
• Technically supervise GBV/CP officers based in Bekaa (North and Central/West); Tripoli, Akkar and South on GBV prevention and response;
• Assist the field-based managers/officers in the assurance of donor compliance, including appropriate and timely spending of grants to achieve program goals, grants reporting contributions, use and distribution of supplies and resources;
• Prepare proposals to secure follow on or expansion funding for the GBV program as per identified needs and in line with the Protection strategy;
• Work closely with GBV officer/Protection managers to develop and implement ethical and safe monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, including qualitative tools and GBVIMS analysis;
• Represent DRC before relevant donors at Beirut and field levels on GBV programming and GBV-related issues;
About you
To be successful in this role you must have University degree or higher education relevant to social work, women’s studies or other relevant fields; At least 3 years of proven experience in implementation of GBV programming; Thorough understanding of GBVIMS rollout and training;
Experience implementing GBV response and prevention programs; Experience in implementing GBV projects through local partners and providing direct technical support to local organizations
Ideally you will also have significant knowledge of International Human Rights Law, with stress on Refugee Law and Previous experience implementing emergency programs for UNICEF/UNHCR;
Strong program/technical and budget management skills and solid experience with planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation skills;

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level E, equivalent to 2884 USD per month.
