Who are we
The Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon.

About the job
The housing and infrastructure manager should lead the timely and quality implementation of all shelter and infrastructure work, as well as providing technical support to the other sector teams.
Duties
· Manage the implementation of shelter, cash for shelter and infrastructure activities and utilization of shelter and infrastructure budget lines as per our donor commitments;· Oversee the submission of timely, accurate and well written internal and donor reports;· Lead on proposal development and provide technical input related to housing and infrastructure;· Coordinate with and provide technical input to national level programme processes;· Participate in local level coordination forums representing DRC’s interests and activities.· Support the Housing and Infrastructure team members to meet international standards and sector guidelines;· Maintain a positive work relationship within the team, and promote team-building.
About you
To be successful in this role you must have higher level education in engineering, construction, architecture or a related field; excellent computer skills including autocad; microsoft office; and sector related programmes; at least 5 years experience working in the housing and/or infrastructure sector; at least 3 years of managing a team and the implementation of housing and infrastructure projects; Proven experience in project cycle management.
Ideally you will also have experience working in the WASH sector; experience of working with Municipalities in Lebanon; experience of working in informal settlements.
We offer
An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until the end of December 2015, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 1st of August and be willing and able to work in Tripoli.
This position will be placed at level D1 during the probation period, equivalent to a Basic Salary of 2,015 USD per month. Afterwards, the successful candidate will be upgraded to a D+1 level, with a Basic Salary of 2,213 USD per month.
