About the job
Under the direction of the MEAL Team Leader in the North and Information Management Specialist in Beirut, the IM Officer works as a part of the programme quality team to design/develop, test, maintain, support and improve the database management systems related to programmatic activities in North Lebanon- Tripoli and Akkar.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Ensure beneficiary database and reporting data is managed and maintained;
• Obtain, compile and analyze data from program indicators, and disseminate in appropriate formats for improving the programmatic decision making and planning process;
• Participate in developing and enhancing DRC’s database that maintains and organizes DRC activities/data and support in reporting, project tracking and data analysis.
• Enhance and build capacities of DRC staff in terms of database use and maintenance, data quality, and basic analysis through on-going support and trainings;
• Support in ensuring data collected by field teams is cross-checked and uploaded into DRC Database;
• Ensure sector teams are supported to upload into inter-agency reporting and monitoring tools (such as Activity Info, RAIS, Sponge Base etc);
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for data planning, collection, recording, and reporting requirements for field staff;
• Analyze and regularly report to the MEAL Team Leader on the progress and quality of the data;
• Work closely with the IM Specialist, take responsibility of adapting and testing the database and tools at field office level and develop system procedures/manuals;
• Capacity building/training of MEAL staff, programme teams and partners in data management and DRC’s Referral Information Management System (RIMS)
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have bachelor degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or relevant field with significant professional experience.
Required
• At least three years of relevant professional experience working in emergency, development, community, or social work
• Previous experience in developing web and database application
• Strong IT skills – particularly with Microsoft Office suite (strong Excel skills essential);
• Strong skills in database systems (PostgreSQL, SQL server, MySQL) as well in designing and using FileMaker applications;
• Advanced understanding of data security and encryption tools;
• Experience with ODK data collection/coding and Formhub;
• Intermediate knowledge for the Geodatabase and experience in generating map using ArcGIS
• Visualization experience using Tableau and JavaScript

We offer
- Contract length: until end of March 2019
- Level: C+1 equivalent to 1850 USD
- Duty Station: Tripoli or Akkar
