We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who has the skills to engage in our organization as an Internal Auditor  Who are weThe Danish Refugee Council has worked in Lebanon since September 2004, and the programs have followed the country’s needs and progress. The main focus of today’s efforts in Lebanon is to help the hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees, who have fled across the border to find protection from the conflict in their homeland. DRC is simultaneously maintaining the efforts toward the vulnerable groups of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. More than 200.000 Syrian refugees have received assitance from the Danish Refugee Council since the beginning of the crisis.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dk Duties• Assess  areas of compliance risk in all DRC Lebanon offices and recommend corrective actions and/or disciplinary actions;• Evaluate the soundness, adequacy, and effectiveness of all operating policies, procedures, and controls within DRC Lebanon field sites, projects and Head Office in the areas of finance, HR, administration, logistics and procurement and in accordance with DRC’s operational standards as expressed in the DRC Operations Handbook and other guidelines in the DRC Accountability and Quality Management system (ref. Operations Handbook chapter 3 and related tools as well as parts A, B, C & D of the handbook).• Prepare compliance improvement plans and verify the implementation of the plan on an ongoing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness;• Conduct and/or plan trainings on topics such as strengthening internal controls, fraud detection, and advise on external audits while contributing to the development of training materials and resources;• Prepare monthly internal audit reports for each field site for submission to the SMT Lebanon team.• Conduct trainings on topics such as strengthening internal controls, fraud detection, while contributing to the development of training materials and resources.• Coordinate with Area managers to ascertain current understanding of operational procedures and follow up with relevant actions. • Develop core processes for Internal Audit supported by Risk and Compliance Coordinator and Support in conducting partner assessments or any specific audit related tasks. About you Essential qualifications: • Advanced financial or audit qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA Finance.• Relevant university qualification• Full proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic. Essential experience:• At least 3 years’ experience working as an auditor, preferably including experience in an internal audit function and in the NGO sector.• Working experience with donors’ guidelines.• Systematic mind-set and capability of structuring a large amount of information in an easy accessible way. We offer An interesting job in one of the world’s best NGOs. DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract until end of December 2015, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from July 2015 and be willing and able to work in Beirut. Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for National staff. This position will be placed at level C+, equivalent to 1881 USD per month.
