It Assistant- Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated IT Assistant for the DRC Field Office in North Bekaa. Who are we?DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade , running a combination of livelihood , protection ,advocacy and relief projects .DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Syria , Tunisia/Libya , Turkey , and both a country and regional office in Jordan .Since May 2011, DRC has been actively involved in the Lebanon emergency response to the Syrian crisis with presence in the North , East (Bekaa valley ) and South of Lebanon. . The DRC response is designed around 4 majors sectors: Food /NFI distribution, Protection, Shelter and livelihood support. As such, DRC is positioned in Lebanon as a main implementing partner of UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, ECHO and DANIDA, implying a rapid expansion of its program and structure.For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.dkDuties• Provide data to monitor and evaluate the overall IT performance in support of the programs. • Provide IT assistance, hardware and software troubleshooting to DRC staff and infrastructure, including servers. • Setup and administrate internet, local area network and servers, to include administration of DRC proprietary accounting software. • Format and install drivers (including printer\scanner drivers) and relevant software for new laptops and desktops, making sure only authentic software is installed, in coordination with the procurement department. • Service and maintain DRC printers and other IT hardware. • Keep track of IT related supplies (e.g. printer toner, spare parts) and place Order Requests as stock is used up. • Carry out research and information gathering on topics of relevance to the project, as needed.• Other relevant tasks, as requested by Base Logistics Manager.  About you – Essential skills/experience• Degree in Information Technology• Experience in IT support in a large organisation.• Excellent interpersonal and team skills• Experience in setting up servers, routers and networks• Experience with maintaining printers and other IT hardware We offerAn interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant contract until end of June, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
