Leaders Consortium Program Volunteer

We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who has the skills to engage in our organization as LEADERS Consortium Program Intern       Who are we?  DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.  DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.  For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.ngo   About the job  The LEADERS Consortium operates across Jordan and Lebanon, and is composed of 5 international NGOs (Acted, Care, DRC, Oxfam, and Save the Children), and 1 Lebanese NGO Makhzoumi Foundation. In Lebanon, LEADERS Consortium is implementing two projects in the geographical areas of Tripoli, Beirut Mount Lebanon and Bekaa through funds from the EU MADAD Trust Fund and RDPP.    Duties and Responsibilities  Supporting the LEADERS Consortiumin:   • Monitoring and evaluation including updating the indicators performance tracking table, detailed implementation plan and regularly conducting spot checks for data validity   • Coordinating the collection ad drafting of monthly and quarterly reports    • Developing case studies and other communication materials   • Copy editing documents as required in Arabic and English   • Ad hoc tasks such as but not limited to drafting reports, memos, preparation and presentation material for meeting with Donors and other stakeholders.    About you  To be successful in this role you must have Bachelor degree in communication, humanitarian studies or equivalent    In this position, you are expected to demonstrate DRC’ five core competencies:   Striving for excellence: You focus on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process.   Collaborating: You involve relevant parties and encourage feedback.   Taking the lead: You take ownership and initiative while aiming for innovation.   Communicating: You listen and speak effectively and honestly.   Demonstrating integrity: You act in line with our vision and values.   Moreover we also expect the following:  Required qualifications  • Effective communication skills  • Computer literate with in-depth experience in excel  Desirable qualifications  • Strong research and writing skills   • Has knowledge of the Lebanon LNGO and INGO sector.   • Has a strong background in monitoring and evaluation     We offer  DRC will offer the successful applicant an Internship contract until 30th of November 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance.
