Livelihoods And Registration Assistant (National Staff Only)

 We are looking for a qualified and motivated candidate who can fit the position of Livelihood Registration Assistant in DRC Bekaa Office Who are we?Danish refugee council has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. For further information about DRC, please refer to our website: www.drc.ngoIn Bekaa you will find one of the most historical places in the world such as the Baalbak temple. It is also a safe and relaxing environment but at the same time very close to Beirut. About the jobThe Livelihoods and Registration Assistant will spend about 60% of their time registering beneficiaries in the DRC Livelihoods Center or in mobile locations. This role will provide support to the Senior Employment and Counselling Officer. The remaining 40% will be conducting other duties for DRC’s Livelihoods projects. Duties and Responsibilities Provide front-desk registration coverage for DRC’s livelihoods projects. Answer phone calls, offer general information on the Livelihoods Center and its services and respond to inquiries, directing jobseekers and employers to the relevant Livelihoods center staff for specific matters/queries; Interview job seekers and register them for employment using appropriate forms or the computer data base to record individual profiles, occupational codes and client group categories; Provide information to jobseekers on employment options, including self-employment and training courses Assist with data collection on the local labour market and enter information on the database; Be responsible for the logistical arrangements of meetings, workshops and other events of livelihood projects; Prepare meetings and workshops materials for livelihood projects; Draft agendas, take minutes at meetings and workshops and maintain attendance sheets; About youTo be successful in this role you must have Computer literate with good experience in excel In this position, you are expected to demonstrate DRC’ five core competencies: Striving for excellence: You focus on reaching results while ensuring an efficient process. Collaborating: You involve relevant parties and encourage feedback. Taking the lead: You take ownership and initiative while aiming for innovation. Communicating: You listen and speak effectively and honestly. Demonstrating integrity: You act in line with our vision and values.  Moreover we also expect the following: Required qualifications Fresh graduate in Business Administration or equivalentWork or volunteer experience; preferably in the Bekaa Desirable qualifications“Ideally, you will also have…” Previous INGO experience is an advantageCommunication and team work skills We offerDRC will offer the successful applicant a 3 months contract to cover a maternity leave, You must be available to start work as soon as possible and be willing and able to work in Bekaa.
