The Livelihoods Assistant will be based in Akkar as a member of the C Livelihoods department. The LivelihoodsAssistantwill be under the dailysupervision of the Livelihoods Officer, and will play a key role in implementing the FFA/FFT project in Akkar. S/he will work to ensure the Livelihood intervention is ongoing with highest technical quality, activities and reporting are completed on time, and that problems and challenges are identified proactively and solution provided in a feasible manner.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Assist in conducting outreach to identify and assess affected population deemed eligible to participate in the program.
• Organize trainings as needed, including identifying venues, inviting participants, and assisting with developing the agenda.
• Work closely with staff from DRC’s Protection, Shelter and Infrastructure team (and other DRC teams as needed) to ensure timely completion of integrated components of the project and created assets.
• Assist with monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on project activities, as well as reportingissues and constraints arising from project implementation,as requested by the Livelihoods Officer or Area Livelihoods Manager.
• Supervise the recruited trainers and monitor the field implementation of the Food for Training and complementary trainings.
• Compete the daily attendance of participants and trainers as well as monitoring their working hours.
• Work with operational staff and Livelihoods Officer to complete order requests and payment requests, as needed.
• Ensure that the purchased supplies are tracked and used properly by the beneficiaries, workers and municipalities on field.
• In conjunction with the Livelihoods Officer and other key stakeholders (possibly including external consultants), carry out trainings on key issues and topics, including (but not limited to): agriculture, soil management, life skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, etc.
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a minimum of a Bachelor University degree preferably related to international development, economics, and/or business. Moreover, we also expect the following:
Required
1-2years of minimum experience with INGOs, preferably in Livelihoods, Cash, or related sectors, which would include experience with one or more the following activities:
• Implementation of skills development and employability trainings programs
• Implementation of Cash for Work Projects integrated in Community Support Projects
• Cash delivery mechanism and modalities
• Conducting market assessments
• Community mobilization
• Training planning and facilitation for staff and community groups
• Good in English Language and fluent in Arabic
Desirable
• Familiarity with the agriculture sector, 1-2 years of experience preferred.

We offer
- Contract length: Till the end of December 2018 (Pending fund approval)

- Monthly Basic Salary: 1250 USD
