Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate who would like to work with DRC as Livelihood Registration Assistant in Bekaa-Arsal Area.
About the job
DRC will be establishing a Livelihood center in Arsal under DANIDA E project, serving as venue for the DRC’s livelihoods activities (Life skills, Soft Skills, Vocational Trainings, Cash for Work).
The Livelihood and Registration Assistant will assist in providing front-desk coverage during working hours, offer general information on the project services, interview project beneficiaries and register them with the livelihoods profiling tool to record their profiles and occupational codes.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
• Provide front-desk registration coverage for DRC’s livelihoods projects;
• Answer phone calls, offer general information on the Livelihoods Center and its services and respond to inquiries, directing jobseekers and employers to the relevant Livelihoods center staff for specific matters/queries;
• Interview job seekers and register them for trainings and cash for work opportunities using appropriate forms or the computer database to record individual profiles, occupational codes and client group categories;
• Daily follow-ups on the ongoing courses
• Be responsible for the logistical arrangements of meetings, workshops and other events of livelihood projects;
• Prepare meetings and workshops materials for Livelihood projects;
• Draft agendas, take minutes at meetings and workshops and maintain attendance sheets;
• Support in monitoring CFW projects and collect all information and oral/written reports on the progress of the CFW activities;
About you
To be successful in this role we expect you to have a Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance, Education, English Literature or similar field. we also expect the following:
Required
• Work or volunteer experience; preferably in the Bekaa
• Previous INGO experience is an advantage
• Good interpersonal communication skills
• Computer skills
Desirable
• Fluency in Arabic
• English: Good written and spoken

We offer
Contract length: 12 months until end of December 2018
Level: B1, 1250 USD per month
Duty Station: Bekaa-Arsal
Start date: January 2018
