Logistics & Procurement Officer - Baalbek

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated Logistics & Procurement Officer to support the Logistic and procurement department in North Bekaa. Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties Procure all materials and equipment ordered by the projects in a cost-effective and transparent manner in line with DRC and donor specific policies. Ensure that all orders are tracked, participate in evaluation of bids and proposals and assist with the preparation of contracts. Assistant with the management of the DRC fleet and drivers including movement planning, maintenance of vehicles and ensuring they carry the correct equipment. Oversee all tasks related to asset management including maintaining the asset register, asset cards and personal issue forms. Perform a quarterly physical asset check.Assist with warehouse management tasks including ensuring warehouse documentation is maintained in accordance with DRC policies, overseeing deliveries to and dispatches from DRC warehouses and checking stocks levels. Oversee the compilation of regular fuel consumption reports and monthly vehicle utilization analysis and ensure adherence to DRC Lebanon vehicle policy.     About you To be considered for the Logistics & Procurement Officer  position North Bekaa, you must have :   Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field. Experience in supply chain management in an emergency environment including procurement, transport and distribution, warehouse and stock management Experience in vehicle and fleet management Experience of building and developing the capacity of logistics staff through the use of training, performance management frameworks and development plans Excellent interpersonal and team skills Excellent IT skills Fluency in written and spoken English Commitment to and understanding of DRC’s aims, values and principles   Desirable Experience with standard procurement procedures and documentation. Experience with construction and site project management Experience with auto mechanics or electrical installations. Ability to speak other international languages. Relevant qualifications or training courses.   We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. You must be available to start work from 1st of September 2014 and be willing and able to work in North Bekaa (Baalbek).
