Monitoring And Evaluation (M&e) Hotline Assistant - Zahle

  We are looking for a highly qualifiedand motivated M&EHotline Assistant for the DRCField Office in Central-West Bekaa. Who are we? DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects. Duties General Responsibilities Assist refugees contacting the DRC hotline, build rapport through a polite and respectful manner, and ensure queries and concerns are answered, referred and followed up. Provide key messages and information regarding DRC service to refugees calling the hotline. Any other tasks as instructed by the M&E Manager. Specific Tasks Handle the hotline on a daily basis from Monday to Friday / 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Provide information on services available to refugees in Central-West Bekaaand enable referrals to services, by taking down the necessary information and making the referral to protection colleagues or partners. Keep records of all inquiries, update the daily statistics, and follow up on all referrals made to DRC program managers on a weekly basis. Maintain confidentiality and protection of beneficiary information. Provide regular reports and statistical data to the M&E Manager on a weekly basis.   About you To be considered for the M&E Hotline Assistant position, you must have a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-government, and/or outreach organizations.   Qualifications and Position Requirements Undergraduate degree/advanced diploma in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, public health, or related field OR high school diploma with significant professional experience; Good knowledge of local context and community in the Central-West Bekaa area; Languages: Fluency (native speaker) in written and spoken Arabic, good working knowledge of written and spoken English; IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite (Excel experience preferred); Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and a strong team spirit; Self-motivated and organized with a demonstrated capacity to manage time and personal work plan; Optimistic attitude and a great sense of humor are essential requirements of the position!   We offer An interesting job in one of the best NGO’s in the world. DRC will offer the successful applicant a6 months contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from 1st of April 2014 and be willing and able to work in Central-West Bekaa.
